Two years
Today is the second anniversary of my wedding to the wonderful Liz.
We've been together for nearly 6 years, but these last two since our marriage have been a true whirlwind! Since the wedding, we've bought our first house, got a cat and more recently brought our delightful son, Alexander, into the world. Alex turned 9 months old yesterday and the time passes so quickly it's scary.
Through it all, Liz has been the best possible person to spend my time and my life with. I couldn't be happier.
To mark the occasion, I thought I'd post a few more family-focused photos to the blog, starting with our wedding venue up top.
The photo featured in today's post is Wallington, the National Trust property where we had our wedding ceremony. We were lucky to be one of the last couples to get married there before the National Trust stopped hosting weddings and it was the perfect venue for us: beautiful setting, with history and character as well as being a bit different to the standard wedding venue. Despite its scale, it was also very intimate, with the hall being just the right size for our relatively small wedding party of 50 people.
In our visits to Wallington before and after the wedding, I've never really had or taken the time to get a great photograph of the place, which is something I need to rectify, but this one is decent enough for the memory and I had an illustration commissioned of it for our anniversary last year.
Anyway, here's to many more years of happiness in the Perfect household!
