Liz & Alex

I've gone quiet on the blog again for the past month, though with good reason: the run-up to and then birth of my first child last weekend. Liz and I are so happy to bring our son, Alexander Raymond Perfect, into the world and we're now getting used to caring for him.

I've already taken a ton of photos of Alex on my iPhone but I'll save posting pictures of him until things settle down and I can do it properly, much as I'm a doting father now. So instead and to mark the occasion, here's a photograph of my beautiful wife, Liz. I took it on our first afternoon in Venice (our first holiday abroad together) just after we'd checked into our hotel.

This photo is still one of my favourites of Liz four years on and as we approach five years together with Alex joining our little family, I couldn't be happier.
