Bordeaux tram
Bordeaux has a great tram system running across the city and on a quick visit before heading to the airport and flying home in April, we used it as a park-and-ride into the city centre.
Today's photograph was taken in the city, near the river, where there's a bit of a tram interchange that's actually just a load of tram lines converging amongst a mini forest of trees that creates more of a park vibe than train station.
The day was hot and sunny with blue skies, creating nice contrasty light under the trees that lends well to black and white. This is one of those slightly throwaway shots that turns out better than the effort put into it: we were just crossing the tracks and the tram came in to stop, catching the light, so I took the shot. Once I got home and ran through the images I'd made, this one passed the 'squint test' among the thumbnails and with a little processing (mainly applying the Acros+Ye camera profile) and cropping to a more cinematic aspect ratio it was looking pretty good.
Nothing earth-shattering, but a nice image that acts as a good memory of our brief walk around Bordeaux.
