Greenwich and the Old Naval College in the fog

Canon EOS 5D Mark II, 24.0mm, 1/250s, f/11.0, ISO 400

Back in November 2011 my brother, Christian came to stay with me in London and we decided to head over to Greenwich for the day. It turned out to be a rare densely foggy day in London (contrary to the Victorian stereotype of the city, it doesn't get this foggy often) which made for some lovely, atmospheric lighting at times.

This shot is down by the old naval college. Normally, you'd be able to see through the park and up the hill to the observatory but it was still good and murky when we got to Greenwich.

The dirt on the columns and the flattening fog makes them look almost painted on and there's just a hint of sunlight glinting off one of the weathervanes.
