Golden light at Belton House

I love a good National Trust property and Belton House has become a favourite in the past couple of years, despite being nowhere near us. We first visited on a 'mini-moon' slow trip back to London after our wedding and have since been back a few more times as it sits roughly half-way between London and my family up north.

On this November visit, as we walked round to the front of the house, there was a cool vintage car parked in a small courtyard to the side. By the time our visit was done and we were heading back through, the light had become lovely and golden and the vintage car set against this beautiful backdrop just had to be photographed.

There's nothing technically too special about the photo: it was a hand-held snap with the Fuji X-T2 and 16-55mm 2.8, taken at f/8, 1/480s and ISO 200 (base ISO for the X-T2). That said, it is also an HDR merge of three bracketed exposures but nothing extreme: just enough to pull back some detail in the sky. I did some guided keystoning (or 'Transform' in Lightroom parlance) to straighten things up a little and then simple processing of exposure, colour and detail.
