Dreaming of the outdoors

Fujifilm X-T2, 44.1mm, 1/55s, f/8.0, ISO 400

After beginning to build a rhythm of content here, I’ve been knocked off my stride for the past couple of weeks as we’ve been self-isolating as a family.

We’re all fine—our eldest had a fever one night a couple of weeks ago and has been fine ever since—but have been taking the careful advice and stayed fully in the house ever since.

A lack of getting out even on short walks has severely diminished my photographic opportunities, while I’ve been on a bit of a roll working on SceneMapper (my location scouting app) which has distracted me from even sharing older images.

Not to mention that I managed to severely break my main computer a few days ago, removing easy access to my photo library.

Anyway.

We can leave the house on Sunday, a new motherboard arrives to hopefully fix my computer tomorrow and I finally remembered to try sharing something here.

It’s been tough not leaving the house for so long and I’m desperate to take that walk down to the beach in a couple of days, so I thought I’d share this image of Longsands—a couple of beaches down from us—in beautiful, pink twilight back at the very end of 2017.

A time before COVID-19 and before we even lived here, but were simply visiting family.

Soon. Soon, I’ll be back out with the cameras on walks with the kids and enjoying the fresh coastal air as much as we safely can.
