Sunshine on our wedding day

Fujifilm X-Pro1, 18.0mm, 1/450s, f/10.0, ISO 200

Our wedding last April was a fantastic day (obviously), made even more special that we managed to get a nice mix of locations and a relaxed vibe through the whole day.

We got married at the National Trust property, Wallington, in the morning where sadly it rained as we finished the ceremony, somewhat limiting our options for photos in the gardens (though Radek still got some lovely shots!). We had the wedding breakfast at Vallum Farm, just down the road and then everyone came back to Harlow Hill, where we'd hired out all four cottages and hosted a lovely, chilled party for the rest of the afternoon and evening in the big farmhouse.

The sun came out to make for a glorious afternoon and, given the setting, by the time it was reaching magic hour I just had to pop out with my camera and go for a mini photo walk across the fields. A few friends came along and as we emerged through the woods at the top of the hill, looking down on the reservoir, you'd never have guessed it had tipped down with rain a few hours earlier.

Harlow Hill was a stunning venue for hosting a big group (the farmhouse sleeps at least 12) and at Christmas, Liz and I rented one of the smaller cottages again just for ourselves which was beautiful too. We'll be back for a family get-together at some point I'm sure and I'd recommend checking Harlow Hill out if you're ever visiting Northumberland.
