Lining up for the wave

Fujifilm X-T10, 23.0mm, 1/3500s, f/1.4, ISO 800

I've written before about the lovely sunset we got one evening in Levanto on our honeymoon, posting a photo looking down over the beach, jetty and out to the surfers in the sea. That photograph focused more on the foreground, with the surfer carrying his board and then drawing the eye out to the person at the end of the jetty.

Today's image is all about the surfers and the sea and the surfers looking to ride the waves. There were loads of people in the water which, being British, I'm not used to seeing at sunset. It made for a lovely image though, with the beautiful pinks and peaches of the setting sun casting an almost golden hue on the smoother areas of water surface.

I also like the alignment of surfers, waves and horizon line which creates an almost orderly feel to the majority of the surfers waiting for the right wave.
