More Severndroog from the air
Last month I shared one of the first photographs I took with my new DJI Mavic Pro, taken of Severndroog Castle in south-east London. I've managed a couple more quick flights with the drone since (including at Scotney Castle on the same evening I took the photo of the gate) but before I start to share those (also, they still need processing), I thought I'd share some other keepers from the Mavics first flight at Severndroog.
The Mavic did a great job and Severndroog was a great location to try it for the first time as it's so photogenic and the combination really encouraged me that I'd made the right choice in selling the Bronica to get the Mavic. Check out the photos below:
This first flight was on a day when the castle isn't open so I felt better about doing a fly-over with no people around.
In just a short hour-and-a-half session, I got a range from bright sunshine to overcast conditions which gave me a good mix of lighting on Severndroog but I definitely need to go back for either a sunrise or sunset session one day. As we enter autumn and head on into winter, and sunrise and sunset happen at more sociable times, that should get easier to achieve even working around the schedule of a one-year-old's sleeping patterns.
