Roman grandeur round every corner

Fujifilm X-T1, 23.0mm, 1/350s, f/8.0, ISO 200

Another photo from Basilica di San Giovanni in Laterano, this time around the back looking across Piazza Giovanni Paolo II. The sun during our three days in Rome was insane and it stayed uncomfortably hot through the night, but did bathe the city in a beautiful warm light in the late afternoons.

Rome is one of those cities where there are huge, impressive buildings all over the place and it has nice wide avenues and piazzas to let you get a good look at them too.
